NossaTV, home of the best full-length, free action sports videos on the web, recently had an opportunity to interview Elijah Teter, professional snowboarder. Teter’s many accomplishments include ranking 4th in the world for half-pipe by the WSF, as well as 5th overall in the Vans Triple Crown and 2nd overall in the Grand Prix series. NossaTV features skiing videos, skateboarding videos, surfing videos and snowboarding videos from top athletes around the world, so they were anxious to hear Teter’s take on the industry.

NossaTV: How long have you been snowboarding?
Elijah Teter: 13 years, maybe 14.

Nossa: What got you into it and how did you get so good?
ET: Watching my brother in the back yard lit a spark for the whole family to find light in. I owe it all to him. I got better by practicing and having the confidence that you can be great with anything that you do. It doesn’t hurt having big balls too. I think they shrink with age, at least mine are.

Nossa: What are your goals and aspirations?
ET: Snowboarding as long as I can, that’s a given. I want to learn more about my own body – chinese medicine, flows, yoga, tai chi, teaching, tv channels, getting people who want to know how to flow through life.

Nossa: Why is NossaTV so badass?

ET: It shows what kids want to see – people who are not afraid to crush any feature put before them.

Nossa: I here you’re an avid crystal hunter. How do you find them?


ET: Haha, you must have an inside on that knowledge. It’s definitely not as easy as it sounds. If you can let go, they usually take you to them. For me, it takes a lot of pulling away the surface in different areas to see what’s underneath. When I found my 7 plus crystals I had my family with me and had them in mind, so feel it has a lot to do with what’s on your mind.

Nossa: Who are your heroes?
ET: Go get your own, I’m freakin starving and haven’t eaten anything all day!

Nossa: What books are you reading?
ET: I need to get one. I’ve been reading a chapter here and there from the IAM series, it’s a good one.

Nossa: What do you do with your summer months?
ET: Work off as much rent as possible from the sis, snowboard in hood, possibly new Zealand, mtn. biking, boating, crystal hunting, hopefully getting drunk on sex.

Nossa: You’ve been taking some college classes, how’s that?
ET: College is great, always love adding to my knowledge. It’s things that I want to learn so I pay way more attention. Some eye candy too, love that.

Nossa: All the girls love you, is it the chops?
ET:
Haha, probably. I think they just like guys who aren’t trying to come on to them all the time. I only try sometimes, “very nice, make sexy time!”

Nossa: Who’s gonna save the world?
ET: People waking up to ourselves, and changing up our acts. Or maybe superman will come back… oh wait I am superman and oh yeah you are superman.

Nossa: You come from a strong family connection, how has that helped your flow in life

ET: Family is the greatest, so lucky to have my best friends so close to fall back on when im going through a tough spot, and being the same for them. Wish everyone could flow together like we do, they can, just so much harder for some, but if they do decide to find the love, goodness will bee, honey sweetened even.

Nossa: what do you want to be when you grow up?
ET: A daddy

ET: David Benedick, he’s one of the coolest.
