Among the many places that one can go for rock climbing, there is one mountain called Mt. Hood, located in a place called Oregon. This is one place that has been marked with thrilling and life-risking experiences such as climbers getting buried in snow and waiting to be rescued. Most of the climbs around there are quite challenging but others are relatively easy to cover.

Rock climbing in Oregon brings with it a chance to marvel at nature form a very good viewpoint. While at the top of the climbs, it is possible to see lakes, hills and deep valleys. Imagine watching the sunset from such a view! It can be quite exhilarating. Among the climbs that you may want to cover are Three Fingered Jack and Mount Washington, although these ones must be climbed in the company of a guide or an experienced expert.


You will require rock climbing equipment if all is to go well with you. Training is also an integral part of this activity and as you do so, be sure to get the training from an experienced person. This way, you will get tips on what to do in case you are faced by an avalanche and other harsh weather conditions while in Oregon. Always be accompanied by a commercial and well trained guide through your tour.

While at it, make sure that you are dressed in a way that will match up to the task. Have strong boots that will not tear apart as a result of being hit against the rocks and boulders. the clothing you put on should be good enough to keep you warm. If you acquire guide services, you will be provided with ropes, belays and other safety materials. Features like volcanoes and jagged ridges will be common.
