Quick Trip To Ft Collins, Boulder and Nederland Colorado. I left all my cameras siting in my office, so thank you Blackberry 8100 Pearl for the memories! We drove in to Ft. Collins then on to Boulder. Explored Boulder Canyon up to Nederland. On the way down we and enjoyed a quick walk to Boulder falls, then up Flagstaff Drive in Boulder Mountain Park. |

Seven thousand feet up in the Colorado Rockies, nestled quietly below one of the largest ski mountains in North America, sits a small ranching community that serves as a constant reminder that the Old West is alive and well. Never far from its ranching roots, Steamboat remains firmly linked to a Western tradition that sets it apart from every other ski resort in the world.
Steamboat is known around the globe simply as Ski Town, U.S.A.® and has produced more winter Olympians than any other town in North America, now a record 69 and counting. Including the 20 Steamboat athletes competing at the 2006 Games, Steamboat's Olympians have represented five different countries, and made 120 Olympic appearances during 16 Winter Games.
And long before people strapped on skis for fun, Steamboat residents in the late 1800s were using ski and snowshoes in their daily lives. You'll be hard pressed to find another resort town that exudes this much history, heritage and character. Come see for yourself why Steamboat continues to hold a special place in the hearts of so many people. |

December in Snowmass - Christmas in Colorado - A skiing Vacation.
Snowmass is the second largest ski area in the US - With a vertical rise of 4,406 feet, Snowmass has the highest vertical rise of any ski area in the USA over 3,132 acres of terrain, cruisers, glades and steeps. Next door to this huge area are three other areas were you can use your 4 mountain pass - Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk.
The variety of terrain is certainly intriguing given Snowmass’s family-friendly approach. The mix of beginners and experts on the resort’s trail system is a happy union, but there is plenty to keep the adventure seekers interested. The Hanging Valley Glades are the extreme for the adventure lovers in the family.
In Summer, Aspen/Snowmass Colorado is the ultimate playground. Hear the sounds of Jazz Aspen Snowmass CO, the Aspen, CO Music Festival. Indulge yourself at the Food and Wine Festival and more! Experience the thrill of hot air balloon rides, biking, hiking, golf and fishing. Delight yourself in world-renowned restaurants, nightlife, shopping and spas.
